United Way Coffee Day
Coffee Day for United Way is Tuesday, December 3 from opening until 3 p.m. 25¢ from each large and extra-large coffee supports United Way.
Don Wright Music Bake Sale
Satisfy your sweet tooth and support the United Way! Visit the United Way Bake Sale in the Don Wright Faculty of Music, Talbot College Atrium on Friday November 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
History Show N' Tell
If you're a member of the History Department, this Show N' Tell fundraiser for United Way is for you! Sign up for a five-minute slot to share a unique item. Then vote for your favourite!
Track Day for United Way
All Western staff, faculty and students are invited to join us at ‘Track Day for United Way’, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium (rain or shine). Walk the purple track, play some lawn games on the stadium turf, and come together in support of United Way Elgin Middlesex. Enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate and a donut with your $5 donation.
Day of Caring 2024
Together, they cleaned, organized and inventoried everything from sports equipment to craft supplies – the many things that make the Boys and Girls Club of London a special place to learn and grow. On June 13th, 2024 Western faculty, staff and retirees joined 480 volunteers from 25 workplaces dispersed across Elgin and Middlesex to give their time and support to 30 social service agencies.

United Way Elgin Middlesex (UWEM) has recognized the outstanding dedication of volunteers from within the Western community at their annual ChangeMakers event.

Equity strategy intern helps United Way prioritize community voices
United Way Elgin Middlesex became a participant in Western’s Black Leadership University Experience (BLUE) program. Fourth-year student Jessica Brown joined for a paid, five-month role as an equity strategy intern, with a goal of helping United Way improve how we operate and create impact.
