Food has always had a unique way of bringing people together, and this cookbook is no exception.

From Our Table to Yours is more than a collection of recipes; it’s a celebration of the heart and soul of our community.

It’s a tribute to the front-line team members within Housing and Ancillary Services who greet and serve thousands of students daily, the chefs who craft unforgettable meals and the many administrative staff across the division who work tirelessly to keep our community thriving.

These submissions showcase the incredible diversity and shared passion within the team.

"At the core of everything we do is our belief in building community through food," said Chris Alleyne, Associate Vice-President, Housing and Ancillary Services. "Every meal shared, every recipe passed down and every moment spent around the table strengthens the bonds that make our workplace a truly special place. This cookbook is a reflection of that spirit—a way to connect, share and continue building the sense of community that food has always helped create," he said.

The Housing and Ancillary Services Division created this cookbook not only to spotlight the talents within the division, but to do so in support of something bigger. All proceeds from this cookbook will be donated to Western's United Way Campaign, helping fund critical programs and services for those in need in London and Elgin Middlesex.

"It’s a way for us to give back through the simple and meaningful act of sharing recipes and stories that nourish our community," said Alleyne.
